Tripadvisor performs checks on husband and I booked a private boat for our three-day, two-night tour of Komodo National Park and its surroundings, paying $1200 for the boat park fees were additional. Overall we felt Doddy did an excellent job of organizing our excursion, delivering exactly what he had promised. Our guide, Robert, was thoughtful and conscientious, and the crew worked hard to run the boat and deliver decent meals. We experienced some electrifying encounters with Komodo Dragons and experienced many other unforgettable moments. I should caution that for what we paid, the accommodations were hardly luxurious. When booking my tour, I just asked the price, got an answer from Doddy, and figured that was that. Now that I’ve been there, I think maybe I should have gotten more information about what a somewhat more upgraded experience would cost. Clearly there are many boat options in Labuan Bajo. In terms of operators, however, we felt that Doddy and his organization were reliable, responsible, seasoned. We had a fantastic guide, who helped us with all of our questions and also guided us during all the activities. The boat team worked tirelessly to ensure all of our needs were catered to. We were well fed with plenty of snacks throughout the day and the food was lovely. The highlight of our trip was snorkelling with Manta Rays, spotted by the captain who very kindly stopped and allowed us to jump in and snorkel with them. The itinerary is excellent balancing spectacular views and sunsets with amazing marine life. We saw the flying fox migration, komodo dragons, turtles, manta rays, reef sharks, dolphins, flying fish etc. The boat was comfortable and the food was good. Air conditionong was a must!! The crew were superb from Capt Jack to our cook Ragna. But most of all Pascal - our guide was simply awesome. He coordinated the crew well and knew all the spots to go to...and made our ttip a truly memorable one. Would highly recommend this trip with Fantastic Flores tours!! This tour is completely private we were two families, eight people and well worth it! They picked us up in the boat at our hotel harbor at 7am and we had a lovely day of island hopping, hiking, snorkeling, and of course close encounters with dinosaurs on Jurassic island itself. There are so many advantages to being in a private group, you don't want to come all this way and have to deal with strangers. Another great thing about this tour is that they handle all the payments/permits/registrations of the islands you visit. Other tours do not include the fees and could be a hassle if you're left to register and pay on your own. Leur site internet fait miroiter de belles choses mais finalement c'était décevant, surtout pour le prix élevé... D'abord, difficile de réserver! Ils ne répondent pas aux emails ni au téléphone. A Labuan Bajo nous avons trouvé leur agence et c'est comme ça que nous avons pu réserver. Un bateau nous emmène sur l'île en moins de 2 heures. Le bungalow est un peu vétuste, beaucoup de rouille, le matelas extérieur est très sale. La salle de bain est à l'extérieure, simple mais ok. On est à deux pas de la plage. Les coraux sont magnifiques. En faisant du snorkelling j'ai pu voir des raies et une tortues. Attention aux courants par contre. Sur l'île, il y a une dizaine de bungalows et un restaurant. Il y a un peu de monde durant la journée, mais les bateaux "excursions" partent tous au plus tard à 16h donc le soir est très tranquille. Par contre on mange vraiment pas bien au restaurant. Comme c'est le seul de l'île, on était contentes de pas faire plus qu'une nuit sur l'île. La route pour arriver jusqu'à l'Office n'est pas évidente si vous êtes débutants en scooter gaffe aux chutessur le dernier tronçon quand vous quittez la transflores qui elle est en bon état. Néanmoins pour avoir visité ce lieu en 2015, l'état de la route est de mieux en mieux , de même pour atteindre la cascade des ponts ont été construits pour améliorer l'accessibilité. Ils ne vous laisseront pas le choix et vous donnerons un guide qui sert à rien , en fait ce qui est agaçant c'est de nous forcer à prendre un guide qui n'a pas l'air d'avoir envie d'être là. Tu lui poses une question genre c'est quoi ce truc qui sèche au soleil ? Il n'essaye même pas de communiquer de te dire le mot dans sa langue..rien. Il te dit juste 'non non' et continue d'avancerau moins il ne nous forçait pas à aller plus vite , on a pris notre temps à la cascade et il a été patient . Bref pour 4 ça passeuseless guide included... Une fois arrivés on s'éclate bien un bon petit saut , l'eau est fraîche. C'est cool .
